GameCube titles are coming to Switch 2!

With the launch of Switch 2 the Nintendo Switch Online Service is expanding to include GameCube. When it launches on June 5th the available titles will include The Legend of Zelda The Wind Waker (GameCube version, not WiiU), Soulcalibur II, and F-Zero GX.

What did you think of the Direct?

There was so much revealed in the hour-long April 2nd Nintendo Switch direct. Aside from the above-mentioned features, there are interesting enhancements to the console we haven't seen on previous Nintendo hardware.

Game Share is a service that will allow you to play with up to three additional consoles using only one cartridge. This means if your friend has a multiplayer game, you can play alongside them even if you don't have the title yourself.

While some upcoming games will launch on both the Switch and the Switch 2, a few of these titles will be available as a special Nintendo Switch 2 Edition. Games like Metroid Prime 4 will be playable with higher resolution or better frame rates compared to the regular Switch versions. Or with Mario Party Jamboree, there will be support for the new Nintendo Camera accessory and mouse-support.
