The OnePlus Watch 2 (pictured here) will be succeeded by the Watch 3 as of Feb. 18th, 2025.

A smartwatch with a 16 day battery life!? Yes, please!

The OnePlus Watch 3 was announced today, building on the extraordinary high benchmarks of last year's OnePlus Watch 2 (and 2R).

Last year, the OnePlus Watch 2 was one of the most impressive smartwatches I tested.

I was surprised by two things with the previous model: the overall quality-to-price ratio and the battery life.

The original OnePlus Watch was…not so great. But the company learned a lot since their first offering in 2021 and now make a premium smartwatch that rivals the Ultra editions of the Samsung Galaxy or Apple Watch – while beating both in battery life.

The key to the OnePlus watch longevity is a dual processing chipset that switches between a Snapdragon W5 and the brand new BES2800 MCU. Not to get too deep in the weeds but the Snapdragon chip powers performance and the MCU details with efficiency.

The battery also borrows the NanoStack battery technology we saw earlier this year on the OnePlus 13 (which provides charging and performance improvements in a smaller form factor), all of which adds up to a smartwatch that will supposedly last 16 days in power saver mode. For those who want full functionality, the watch should last 5 days without being on a power saving mode.

I'm looking forward to testing this new watch firsthand at the earliest opportunity. The workout features on the OnePlus 2 were excellent, as was the OHealth experience (the app on OnePlus that monitors health and exercise).

Beyond just fitness, the aesthetics of the watch look pretty sharp in early images the company has shared. Emerald titanium has a silver bezel and buckle with a green strap, while Obsidian has a black titanium bezel and black strap and buckle.

The OnePlus Watch 3 will be available beginning February 18th.
